Victoria Salinas is a recent graduate of the University of South Florida College of Public Health, where she received her Master of Public Health in epidemiology, completed a one-year traineeship funded by the Maternal and Child Health Bureau, and was selected for the 2022 AMCHP Graduate Student Epidemiology Program. Victoria's experiences include data systems management, analysis, and visualization for pediatric infectious disease programs and research; direct service delivery, program evaluation, and dashboard development for Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Programs; and surveillance, reporting, and visualization for a wastewater-based epidemiology program. Victoria's motivation for her work within family and community health stems from her lived experiences as a child of immigrant families, a first-generation college student, and a person with a disability.
