Leonard is a retired US Navy veteran after 20 years of dedicated service. His most notable accomplishments are as a husband and father to four children. His youngest child Chloe was diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome shortly after her first birthday.
He is a former Parent Consultant for the Family Center, based in Lansing, MI, and assisted in connecting parents with various resources. Leonard is a trained Parent Mentor and subsequently became a facilitator for the training, which teaches participants how to provide peer-to-peer support to other parents with similar experiences.
Former Training Analyst for Children Special Healthcare Services under DHHS in Michigan.
Leonard continues to fulfill his passion to share his story and assist parents utilizing various connections and resources.
