Our Journ3i, LLC is an urban perinatal community-based founded and led wellness organization primarily focused on eliminating disparities of health and identifying social health determinants within infant and maternal health by providing empowering education and services. Our focus is on cultural diverse maternal and perinatal workforce development, training, mentorship, and professional development. Our session will focus on the equity building for community based perinatal doulas within the landscape of workforce development, agency supports and entrepreneurship. We will address how to construct prenatal access, care and services for families through an intentional equity perinatal mapping addressing maternal health inaccessibility and injustice. Plan and design a maternal health care plan with community based perinatal workers around SDOH supports relevant to advantageous care and cultural congruent referral alignment. Also, how to integrate maternal health community support opportunities within local community spaces designated as safe by those receiving the care and services.
