Mary Lou Wilson has over 30 years of nursing leadership, having served as Vice President of Patient Services for five different hospitals and several years as Executive Director of Women’s Services at four different facilities. In addition to hospital leadership, she was the Director and Practice Administrator of a Breast Center of Excellence. She has been with Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) for 3 years and has worked to develop strong partnerships with medical staff of Women and Children’s; the community of Gainesville and Braselton, GA; and service lines that crosswalk care for women of all ages. In addition, she was Chapter President of a not-for-profit foundation; on the board of the Arkansas state Breast Care program under appointment of two governors; and in chamber leadership programs in Arkansas and Texas. In 2022, she authored the $5 million federal grant to establish a Maternal Cardiac Program at NGMC and build data capacity for Georgia's Department of Public Health.
