Kera Beskin, MPH, MBA currently works as a manager at the American Academy of Pediatrics. She manages two interest groups, one with over 750 pediatricians dedicated to breastfeeding and the other with 350 pediatricians and pediatric dentists dedicated to medical-dental integration. She assists these groups in writing policy, developing educational programs, and advocating to increase breastfeeding rates and decrease cavities in children. During her master’s program, Kera focused on qualitative research and focus group interviewing. Prior to matriculation into graduate school, she worked for the US Peace Corps both internationally and domestically. She holds a bachelor's degree in Social Work and grew up on a 3,000 acre farm in rural Minnesota.
