Ashlie Otto, RN, BSN, works as a registered nurse specialist for the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS), Division of Community and Public Health, Office on Women’s Health, overseeing the Pregnancy-Associated Mortality Review (PAMR) program. Ashlie earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri. She has over 14 years of nursing experience including eight years as a perinatal nurse, and teaching childbirth education classes to expecting parents. For the past six years, she’s worked for DHSS seeking to address factors that influence maternal health including starting the states Perinatal Quality Collaborative. Her contributions have resulted in three publications on maternal mortality in Missouri.
