Dr. Leonardo serves as the project director for the Child and Adolescent Injury and Violence Prevention Resource Centers. Dr. Leonardo has 20 years of experience in public health and social work program development and evaluation, capacity building, and facilitation. Her expertise includes theory and model development, management and leadership, curriculum development, program evaluation, and quality improvement. She served as a quality improvement advisor, facilitator, and manager on local, national, and international public health initiatives spanning child safety, academic and social-emotional success, health system strengthening, and management and leadership development. She has subject matter expertise in child safety, injury and violence prevention, intimate partner violence prevention and treatment, suicide and self-harm prevention and treatment, health equity, and diversity and cross-cultural issues.
