An epidemiologist with training as a physician, Dr. Jonnalagadda’s research examines the role of health information technology in improving outcomes pertaining to health care delivery, public health, and health are practices. A chief focus of her research is health disparities, understudied populations, and social determinants of health (SDoH). Dr. Jonnalagadda has coordinated international cohort studies, managed teams that have built tools to visualize area-level SDoH, and carried out survey-based research. Her analytic approach is predominantly quantitative, and she is building methodological expertise in qualitative research methods.
