Dr. Fryer completed the University of North Carolina Training in Epidemiology and Clinical Trials
Fellowship and a Master of Science in Clinical Research, which has afforded her a strong
foundation in both quantitative and epidemiology research. During her position as Assistant
Professor at the University of South Florida, she recruited women for studies that included
exploring barriers to prenatal care, alternative prenatal models of care for patients experiencing opiate use disorder and am currently
working on a study addressing discrimination experienced by Black women and how this may
lead to poor clinical outcomes.
