Senior Research Advisor for the New Family Home Visiting Program at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. She was also the Senior Evaluator for the Maternity Hospitals Quality Improvement Project where she oversees the evaluation of the initiative that engages clinical, community and public health stakeholders to reduce severe maternal morbidity and maternal mortality across 14 hospitals and surrounding communities in NYC.
Folake also supports various maternal health equity projects within the NYC Health Department, including NYC’s Maternal Morbidity and Mortality Review Committee (M3RC), and Severe Maternal Morbidity (SMM) projects.
She received a Bachelor’s in Community Health and Sociology from Tufts University, and a Master’s in Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology from Columbia University, where she is also currently completing a Doctorate in the same field.
