Vanessa Lee has been a Public Health Analyst at the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) since 2009, where she currently serves as a Project Officer in the Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB). In this role she oversees grants to reduce infant mortality and eliminate disparities in birth outcomes. Prior to this, she was a Project Officer for the Title V MCH Block Grant Program. Vanessa also manages the federal Advisory Committee on Infant and Maternal Mortality. Before joining HRSA, Vanessa worked in HIV/AIDS prevention for 7 years coordinating federally funded HIV counseling and testing programs at the California Department of Public Health, the San Francisco Department of Public Health, and the George Washington University Hospital Emergency Department. She has an MPH in health policy and management from the University of California-Berkeley and a BS in public health from Rutgers-the State University of New Jersey.
