Dr. McDonnell, is a full-time tenured faculty member in the Department of Prevention and Community Health (the Department that houses the MCH/MPH Program and the GW-MCH CoE) at the GW School of Public Health. Dr. McDonnell earned her doctorate from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and is an MCH public health program evaluation and implementation specialist with over 20 years’ experience working with community groups, public health agencies, and health care systems both locally and globally. As the lead instructor she has mentored and taught over 600 graduate students in the Maternal and Child Health I: Frameworks course. Dr. McDonnell serves as the PI for the HRSA funded GW LEAP Pathways Training Grant and as an Associate Director for the GW MCH CoE. Dr. McDonnell has been recognized for her MCH work (through ATMCH and APHA) and with numerous MCH community agencies and local Departments of Health.
