Amanda Leeson is a Public Health Analyst and Project Officer with the US Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Population Affairs. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Education from Appalachian State University and a Master of Arts in Health Education and Promotion from East Carolina University. Amanda also obtained a graduate Certificate in Core Public Health Concepts from the Gillings School of Public Health at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. She is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist and brings over 20 years of experience in public health and health promotion in a variety of settings, including healthcare systems, non-profit organizations, public health departments, and schools. She enjoys beach trips and all things baseball with her husband Ryan and favorite centerfielder and catcher, son Elijah. A native of beautiful Asheville, NC, she now enjoys calling Upstate, SC and the Palmetto State home.
