University of Wisconsin-Madison
My extensive clinical experience as a nurse highlighted the importance of nurse-led care coordination, which led to my certification as a nurse case manager and MSN with a focus on health care systems and leadership. I am currently pursuing my PhD in Nursing with a focus on policy and leadership at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My research focuses on improving the quality of life for children with medical complexity (CMC) and their families by promoting equitable access to and enhanced care coordination. I also work as a policy analyst in the Bureau of Children’s Services at the WI Department of Health, where I use my clinical knowledge and graduate education to research and develop essential Medicaid policies that impact CSHCN in WI, and collaborate on initiatives to implement them. My passion for equitable access to community resources that promotes the wellness of CMC and their families drives my lifelong pursuit of knowledge and my work for this population.
