Melissa Nunn is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner with over 10 years of experience working in pediatrics. She received her Pediatric NP Primary Care MSN degree from Vanderbilt University in 2015 and Pediatric NP Acute Care Program with Vanderbilt University in 2020. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from LSU Health New Orleans in 2019. She is the Director of Advance Practice at Children’s Hospital New Orleans and acts as an administrative liaison for the facility’s nurse practitioners and physician assistants. She is also an instructor and is the coordinator for both the primary care and acute care pediatric nurse practitioner programs at LSU Health New Orleans School of Nursing. She currently practices in the Emergency Department at Children’s Hospital. She is an active member of NAPNAP (currently serving on the eChapter Board), AANP, AFPNP, NONPF, and LANP. She is the recipient of the 2019 NAPNAP E-Chapter’s Pediatric Nurse Practitioner of the Year Award.
