Katelyn Howell is a Public Health professional originally from Cleveland, Ohio. With an undergraduate degree in Health Sciences from Spelman College, Katelyn has extensive experience in both public health research and advocacy. As a research intern at Cleveland Clinic and Johns Hopkins, Katelyn studied various health issues like Sickle Cell Anemia, HIV, and Hepatitis-C and is a certified HIV Tester and Counselor. Before coming to ODH, Katelyn was a community health worker at an inner-city clinic where she focused on COVID-19 testing and vaccination education, HIV and STI awareness and testing, and community outreach. At ODH, Katelyn is a Program Consultant for the Office of Health Opportunity. Some of her projects include the Community Health Worker Workforce Development grant, and Katelyn helps manage external communications in the office, including creating the OHO Newsletter. Katelyn loves to travel, eat good food, and shop outside work!
