Senior Public Health Analyst

Ayanna Johnson is a public health professional with over 10 years of experience in population and reproductive health, health equity and policy. Currently, Ayanna is a senior public health analyst in HRSA's Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB), focusing on diversifying and building the capacity of the MCH public health workforce. Ayanna's work also includes a focus on the social determinants of health, health equity, maternal health, and adolescent health. Previously, she served as a public health advisor for the HHS Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion , to help develop the nation’s public health agenda - Healthy People 2030. She also managed strategic partnerships with state health departments and other non-federal organizations. Prior to joining ODPHP, Ayanna worked for the US Surgeon General as a health policy fellow and a nonprofit organization. She holds a Master of Science in Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
