Amirah Grasty is the Doula Support Program Coordinator with the Philadelphia Dept of Public Health’s Division of Maternal, Child & Family Health, which focuses on supporting pregnant people and parents with substance use disorder and opioid use disorder. Amirah attended West Chester University of Pennsylvania, majoring in Kinesiology. Before working with the City of Philadelphia, Amirah was an Outreach Executive focusing on the health of Medicare recipients in the Germantown area of Philadelphia. Amirah is a prenatal and postpartum doula. When Amirah is not in her office, she spends her time chasing around her energetic and outspoken 4 years old son.
