Catherina Patrice Walker is a U.S. Public Health Service officer stationed in Chicago, IL. She has had an extensive uniformed service career in USPHS and U.S. Air Force that has allowed her to serve underserved communities and military families; as a nurse and public health professional. She currently serves as the Region 5 supervisor for HRSA’s Bureau of Health Workforce. Before her role in HRSA, she served as a quality manager for the U.S. FDA and as a clinical nurse in the US Air Force and Federal Bureau of Prisons.
Patrice holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from UNC at Greensboro and a Master of Public Health from Florida International University. She obtained a graduate certificate in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention during her master’s preparation. In addition, she maintains two professional board certifications. Lastly, she is a Ph.D. candidate in Northern Illinois University’s Ph.D. in Health Sciences program.
