Mario Butler is an experienced Youth Services Program Supervisor, holding a Bachelor's degree in Leadership/Ministry from Cornerstone University. With nearly a decade of experience in the non-profit sector, Mario has dedicated his career to serving high-risk youth in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
As the Youth Services Program Supervisor at Bethany Christian Services, Mario leads a team that offers comprehensive services to youth aged 14-18. The team provides job training skills, employment opportunities, case management, and healthy relationship skills through the Love Notes curriculum and counseling services.
Mario's team encourages volunteers to become mentors and tutors, leveraging their expertise to ensure that high-risk youth receive the support they need. He is a passionate advocate for the power of mentorship and understands its critical importance in supporting vulnerable youth. His goal is to increase the number of youths served from 250 to 500 and he works closely with community partners, volunteers, and his team to achieve this.
