Program Supervisor
SIHF Healthcare
I graduated from Jackson State University on May 4, 2019, with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Healthcare Administration. Fun fact – this was also my 22nd birthday! During the end of my undergraduate tenure, I was a Health Protection Intern with the Mississippi Department of Health where I focused on legislation affecting African-American maternal morbidity and mortality during home births. After graduation, I returned home to the Metro East Area of St. Louis and began interning at Touchette Regional Hospital, under the Chief Nursing Officer. I completed this internship after six months and moved to its controlled-affiliate, SIHF Healthcare (SIHF). In my new role, I interned under the Vice President of Quality and Performance. In September 2020, I began my role as Program Coordinator for the Prenatal Nutrition Program. The goal of this pilot was to close the low birth weight dispartity gap apparent in African American infants compared to other races. As that pilot program ended, I transitioned to the Quality Department at SIHF, where I am currently a Program Supervisor.
