Has a BSN from the University of Vermont and a Masters in Special Education from Syracuse University. She has worked in a variety of nursing, educational and human service settings. As a nurse, she has worked in hospital settings as well as within the community as a nurse case manager with individuals identified as having significant medical, emotional, and social needs. These diverse settings have resulted in opportunities to shape collaborative, integrated initiatives addressing the needs of populations from adult services to early education. As the Statewide Coordinator of Nurse Home Visiting Programs in Vermont, she worked closely with the State Children’s Integrated Service Team and the MIECHV program. During this time, she coordinated with state leaders and participated in the implementation of the Maternal Early Childhood Sustained Home Visiting Program (MECSH). Since leaving state government she has become one of two MECSH consultants working in the United States.
