Shayne Gallaway is a PhD epidemiologist with over 15 years of experience working for the Federal Government. He currently works for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), assigned to the Arizona Department of Health in Phoenix, Arizona. Shayne joined the ADHS in December 2019 and increases epidemiologic capacity across various Bureaus, Offices and Programs, including Maternal and Child Health, Chronic Disease and Health Promotion, and Injury and Violence Prevention; and provides direct support to county and local partners. He also supports a number of other state initiatives and priorities such as the Health Improvement Plan, State Health Assessment, Adverse Child Experiences, and Tribal/Border Health. He was previously assigned to the CDC in Atlanta, GA; in various roles including program management, evaluation, measurement, epidemiology, and informatics.
