This session will provide hands-on experience with three tools that can be used in any MCH organization to operationalize equity goals. 1) ‘Uncovering Equity Opportunities’ is a systems thinking activity that guides stakeholders through efficiently identifying the factors needed to improve equity within a particular MCH system. 2) ‘Crafting Narratives and Shifting Power’ is a change management tool helps uncover power dynamics and prompt discussion of ways to balance power, shift agendas and change narratives in order to get more equitable outcomes. 3) The 'Is My Maternal and Child Health Practice Culturally Responsive?' tool helps individuals, teams, and organizations assess the extent to which equity is embedded and evident in their processes so that equitable outcomes can be realized.
