Emergency preparedness is an emerging issue in MCH, especially for CYSHCN. This session will describe Oregon’s Health Emergency Ready Oregon (HERO) Kids Registry. HERO Kids fills the information gap by providing key health information--information supplied by families and young adults--to EMS and ED providers before, on-scene, or in the first moments of care. The session will include a description of the system, demonstration, and time for questions and answers for those interested in bringing a similar program to their state or U.S. Territory. Participants will leave with information about the fiscal and technical aspects, chronology, key program planning elements, engagement strategies, and lessons learned.
