This workshop will first briefly explore the importance of youth voice, advocacy and leadership. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services staff will share about the process of working toward a statewide youth advisory council and then share how this youth advisory partnership with our local public health agencies came into being. We will then showcase the Youth Community Health Worker program at Columbia/Boone County Public Health & Human Services. Join us to learn about our successes in supporting youth voice, delivering quality programming, and building local leaders; and maybe even help us seek out new life and new civilizations on this voyage.
