The increasing maternal mortality and morbidity crisis rate in the USA demands immediate attention, especially within sub-populations that are adversely impacted due to social and environmental risks. American Immigrants face worse maternal health outcomes due to disparities from healthcare utilization and environmental, cultural, and social factors that uniquely impact immigrant birthing individuals. Given the lack of demographic information collected from American immigrants and overall research that may provide insights to maternal health disparities within this population, increased studies are required to collectively analyze barriers to healthcare utilization and adverse health outcomes to enact equitable policies that close these gaps in health.
