The session begins with an overview of Maternal and Child Health outcomes of globally recognized indigenous populations. Following which, some notable efforts to provide equitable health access to them are shared. With an elaboration of the study conducted in Betul District, Madhya Pradesh-India, the performance of MCHN indicators here will be discussed, along with its distribution among Tribal/ Non-Tribal areas. This will help us understand the health burden on the tribal population of Betul. The public health infrastructure in these areas will be mapped with their health burden and the inferences will contribute to the strategy for devising and utilizing the Tribal Sub-Plan for healthcare. This strategy will be open to remarks and suggestions.
