Research continues to show that marginalized LGBTQ+ communities are more likely to report experiencing discrimination, as this intersects with the lack of access to quality care for one’s needs and overall perinatal wellness. This presentation centers on not only calling out problematic narratives and services but also focuses on informing and educating on the importance of inclusive and affirmative perinatal healthcare. This learning space will highlight the system of "checking, correcting, and collecting" problematic practices in perinatal health that cause harm to marginalized LGBTQ+ individuals.
