Planting the Seeds for Success: Partnerships for Early Childhood Service Coordination

The proposed poster will summarize survey data collected in Spring 2022 from Title V Maternal & Child Health (MCH), Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV), Early Childhood Comprehensive Systems (ECCS) and Child Care development Fund (CCDF) program staff across 20 jurisdictions. The purpose of the survey was to gather a snapshot of how each of the focus programs partners with one another and with other key early childhood-serving organizations in their efforts to better coordinate early childhood services (inclusive of health, social, and educational services). This poster will share summarized responses to several key questions from the survey, including:

•Who do Title V MCH staff report partnering with for their general programmatic efforts? How often do MIECHV, ECCS and CCDF program staff report partnering with Title V MCH?
•Who do Title V MCH staff report partnering with specifically for their efforts to coordinate early childhood services? How often do MIECHV ECCS, and CCDF programs report partnering with Title V MCH programs?
•What do survey respondents say helps and hinders collaboration with others in their efforts to coordinate early childhood services?
•How do survey respondents operationalize equity in their efforts to coordinate early childhood services? What challenges hinder efforts to operationalize equity?

The poster will conclude with practical recommendations for attendees interested in partnering with other early childhood-serving programs to improve coordination of early childhood services for families they serve. It will also share current and upcoming resources on how to use the recommendations for specific coordination efforts, such as coordinated intake and referral systems.
