Maternal and Child Health Consortium: Lessons Learned from Regional Quality Improvement

The Partnership for Maternal and Child Health of Northern New Jersey (PMCH) is a maternal and child health consortium licensed by the New Jersey Department of Health. Our licensure requires us to complete annual regional quality improvement based on the state’s electronic birth certificate system. With 25-member birthing facilities and almost 50,000 regional births, we partner with clinicians, community-based organizations, and our member facilities to track trends and identify disparities in morbidities for women in our community. A brief analysis of our success and challenges will be shared with participants to share our experience working with member facilities to improve the health of women and children in Northern New Jersey.
