The Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO), with support from CDC’s Division of Reproductive Health, launched the Risk Appropriate Care Learning Community. The Learning Community strengthens states’ ability to develop and implement equitable risk appropriate care policies and programs through capacity-building activities, technical assistance, and state sharing. This presentation will explore successful strategies states developed and implemented to strengthen risk-appropriate care systems and reduce health disparities as well as recommendations for state health agencies. This presentation will also highlight the effectiveness of the learning community model on policy and programmatic uptake through capacity building and technical assistance.
