The Health Resources and Services Administration, Maternal and Child Health Bureau, Division of MCH Workforce Development Leadership, Education, and Advancement in Undergraduate Pathways (LEAP) Training Program trains diverse undergraduate students to prepare them to enter MCH public health and MCH-related health profession. The goal of this poster presentation is to share transferable (1) strategies that the LEAP training programs use to recruit, support, and train diverse undergraduate students that are workforce-ready, (2) examples of how the programs foster the development of diverse leaders in preparation for careers in MCH, and (3) important lessons learned that could be utilized in other academic or practice settings to build and strengthen academic-practice partnerships.
