Healthy Futures of Texas is a youth serving organization providing medically accurate, inclusive, and trauma-informed sex education for teens and parents across Texas. Healthy Futures of Texas recognizes the gaps in sexual health education and the lack of access to credible sexual health resources for adolescents. One way the organization has worked to close this gap is by using marketing strategies and digital campaigns to amplify youth voice regarding sexual health and healthy relationships. This session is relevant to adolescent health professionals that wish to amplify youth voice and experience, digitally. Our marketing strategies and digital campaigns have been designed to specifically target adolescents while creating dynamic and inviting content to empower youth, through youth experience. We will provide strategies to reach an adolescent targeted audience through various marketing and communications platforms including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. We will also provide examples of ways organizations can amplify youth voice through fundraising events. As an organization we value innovative tools to educate, challenge and provide real life experience that help create positive connections in the community regarding sexual health education and healthy relationships. At the end of our session, adolescent health professionals will be able to: Recognize one strategy to reach an adolescent targeted audience through marketing and communications; Identify one way to amplify youth voice and experience through digital campaigns; and identify one way to amplify youth voice in an organization when promoting a fundraising event.
