Working with MCH Leaders to Improve Access to Genetic Services for Underserved Populations

Since 2004, HRSA has funded a regional genetics system to address access issues. In 2017, the system evolved to become the seven Regional Genetics Networks (RGNs), the National Coordinating Center for the Regional Genetics Networks (NCC), and the National Genetics Education and Family Support Program (Family Center). Our collective mission is to improve access to genetic services for underserved populations.

In this session, NCC and the Family Center will engage maternal and child health leaders to provide them with tools, resources, and information about how they can help support individuals and families who have, or are at risk for, genetic conditions.
