Abstract: Updates and Improvements to Caged Mosquito Field Trials
Using small mesh cages to evaluate mosquito adulticide products has been a tool employed by mosquito control districts and industry alike for several years. However, much of the equipment used for these trials is homemade, and there is wide variability in the tools and protocols used. Recently, new research has allowed for streamlining the process of conducting these trials, and advances in 3D printing have made creating the necessary equipment more precise and user-friendly. This session will share field testimony of the impacts of innovations resulting from years of collaboration between industry and mosquito control districts.
