Manar Soliman is a Biologist at Hudson Regional Health commission, NJ, and was a visiting scholar at the Center for Vector Biology, Rutgers University in New Jersey. Dr. Soliman earned a Ph.D. in mosquito biological control from Cairo University (2013) (that has been awarded as the best PH.D. Thesis in Cairo University, 2014), where she also earned a master’s and bachelor’s degree. Her research focuses on using different methods in controlling mosquitoes that are vectors of many viral diseases. She is studying host - parasite relationships, factors affecting disease transmission, studying mosquito’ behavior, monitoring vector populations, and the study of Mermithid nematodes used as biocontrol agent for mosquitoes, vector biology, factors affecting disease transmission and mosquito control. She has more than 16 years
of experience in vector and pest control, both in the field and laboratory areas.
