Lieutenant Colonel Sean Beeman is a United States Army Preventive Medicine Officer currently serving as an Assistant Professor and Division Director of Occupational and Environmental Health Sciences at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. Lieutenant Colonel Beeman completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Texas at Arlington, his Master of Public Health with dual concentrations in epidemiology and environmental health at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and his Ph.D. in Public Health with a concentration in global communicable disease at the University of South Florida. LTC Beeman has served in a variety of scientific and operational assignments in the United States, overseas, and in deployed settings. He is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Sanitarians, a Registered Environmental Health Specialist through the National Environmental Health Association, and is Certified in Public Health though the National Board of Public Health Examiners. Lieutenant Colonel Beeman’s research focuses on the application of geographic information systems, remote sensing, and machine learning in exposure and disease modeling and risk prediction.
