Brook Jensen is a fifth year PhD candidate studying evolutionary biology in Dr. Silvie Huijben's lab at Arizona State University. Her research focuses on insecticide resistance within Aedes aegypti, with a specific emphasis on knock-down resistance (kdr). Currently, Brook is comparing the efficacy of various resistance management strategies by experimentally exposing Ae. aegypti each generation to a set treatment of deltamethrin and measuring kdr allele frequency change over time.
