Dr. David Hoel is the Executive Director of Lee County Mosquito Control District since 2019. Dr. Hoel did his undergraduate and Master’s degree programs at Texas A&M in medical entomology with an emphasis on mosquito biology. His PhD on the bionomics of Aedes albopictus was completed at the U. Florida in 2005. He retired from the Medical Service Corps, US Navy as a Captain in 2017.
