Erin Cloherty Duvernay is an entomologist at the City of New Orleans Mosquito Termite & Rodent Control Board. Currently, Erin conducts research on insecticide resistance in local vector populations. She also works with academic-collaborators on medical and veterinary parasitology research and she participates in industry-sponsored research on pest control products and strategies. Her most recent publication is titled 'Chagas Disease in the Southeastern USA''.
Erin is also a PhD student in the Entomology Department at Louisiana State University and a member of the Healy Lab and Ottea Lab where she is researching insect toxicology. Erin received her Master's of Science in Public Health & Tropical Medicine with a concentration in Parasitology from Tulane University School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine and she has a Bachelor of Arts in European Cultural Studies from the American University of Paris.
