Abstract: The effectiveness of the products used to control the arbovirus vector mosquitoes has been reduced, which is associated with the point mutations (kdr) present in the voltage gated sodium channel. To date, the emergence of new substitutions in vgsc of Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus has been reported in other countries, for which reason the presence / absence of these in Mexican mosquito populations was determined in the present study.
