Melissa Pelkey is a third year medical student a the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, Arizona campus. She plans to apply to Internal Medicine residency next year with clinical interests in Endocrinology, Cardiology, and Critical Care. After residency and fellowship, Melissa hopes to continue her career in academic medicine with involvement in clinical practice, research, and medical education. She is honored to be presnting her team's work at AACE this year and would like to thank her mentors Dr. Bithika Thompson and Dr. Curtiss Cook for their incredible support throughout this project.
