Adult Nurse Practitioner with Endocrine Specialty Certificate

Lily is a born and raised Alaskan who is passionate about the world of endocrinology. She graduated from Duke University School of Nursing in May 2021 with Endocrine Specialty Certificate with the goal of becoming an endocrine NP in Alaska to assist in the detection and treatment of various endocrine disorders.
She obtained a B.A. in political science from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2013, but found her passion after being treated for her own endocrine-related symptoms. She studied nutrition through Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, where she did her community wellness project on promoting a diabetic friendly diet in homeless shelters. She attended nursing school at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY where she graduated with her BSN. Upon graduation, she returned home to Alaska and worked as a nurse case manager at an outpatient GI clinic - part of the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium - in Anchorage, before going into bedside nursing while completing her master’s degree from Duke, with addition of Endocrine Specialty Certificate. She is board certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner (ages 13+).
She was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society and is a member of the Institute for Functional Medicine, Endocrine Nurses Society, Endocrine Society, and the Alaska Nurse Practitioner Association.
Lily believes in addressing the root cause, using an integrative approach, and collaborating with patients in a way that helps them feel supported and empowered.
Highlight: Getting to work with her former preceptor, Christy Pierce, APRN, MSN, ACNP-BC, FNP-C, BC-ADM , on a project that promotes improved treatment outcomes of endocrine disorders in the Alaska Native population and Indigenous Americans overall.
