Mary Earley began her career in corrections as a Correctional Officer in 1989 with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services. She held a variety of positions in custody, housing, training academy and administration. In 2007 she joined Douglas County Department of Corrections as Accreditation Manager. Douglas County was the first and remains the only jail in Nebraska accredited by the American Correctional Association. Mary achieved the rank of Captain in 2008 and is responsible for supervision of support services, and infrastructure of the jail. Ms. Earley is a Master Instructor in Emergency Preparedness, Certified Jail Manager through the American Jail Association, Certified Correctional Health Professional through the National Commission on Correctional Health Care and Consultant Auditor for the American Correctional Association. She has a BS in Criminal Justice and Master’s in Public Administration
