Captain Denise Diamond has worked for over 23 years at the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, the largest county jail system in Oregon. She has held numerous positions including MCSO Corrections Compliance Manager, PREA Coordinator, Use of Force Inspector, Training Unit Captain and Shift Lieutenant of both MCSO jail facilities. Denise has attained all six certifications through the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training including Management and Executive, and has a Bachelor's Degree in English from Portland State University. She is a Jail Inspector through the Oregon State Sheriff’s Association, and a graduate of OSSA’s Command College Advanced Leadership Course. Denise is an active AJA member, currently serving on the AJA Board of Directors, Chairing the Strategic Planning Committee, teaching at AJA Annual Conferences and participating in AJA Conference Planning. She is an AJA Certified Jail Manager (CJM). Denise also provides training, consulting, and conducts PREA audits, when requested. She is a certified DOJ PREA Auditor.
