Attractive benefits and pay can entice employees in a competitive workforce. However, the intangibles of recognition, appreciation, compassion, and support play an enormous part in retaining staff. This workshop will present programs used at the Cook County Sheriff's Office which address wellness, moral injury, and support structures. We will dive into the micro and macro approaches, industry specific challenges, and passive attitudes that turn out to impact peoples' day-to-day and careers in Law Enforcement.
