Establishing the targeted knowledge, skills and abilities is central and essential to any staff training activity. Performance objectives identify what learners need to know and be able to do, and at what level of proficiency as a result of training. Ideally, performance objectives are driven by the operational needs of the jail, and staff competencies needed to operate safe, secure and effective jails. This workshop will focus on exploring performance objectives including; writing quality objectives, uses in training and post training, and how to ensure objectives support the jail’s mission and goals. This workshop is eligible for credit hours toward the Certified Correctional Trainer (CCT) program.
