Dr. Orr is an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon (OMS), Anesthesiologist, and Attorney. He has treated over 2,500 major facial fractures and administered over 100,000 anesthetics. He is the father of 9 children. Orr is admitted to the CA Bar and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and is a Past President of the American College of Legal Medicine. He is a founding partner of the ECS Law Firm which specializes in personal finance law, focusing on tax-advantaged business structures, retirement plans, and endowment creation.
Orr is an Eagle Scout, who graduated cum laude from BYU (1972) and with honors from USC. He completed residencies in Anesthesiology at the U of U Medical Center and in OMS at LA County/USC/MC. Dr. Orr subsequently obtained a PhD a JD, and an MD. He is a Diplomate of The American Board of OMS, The American Board of Legal Medicine, The American Dental Board of Anesthesiology, and The National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He is a site visitor for CODA and the NV State Board of Dental Examiners. He is the Chair of the NV Society of OMS Anesthesiology Committee, as well as the Editor of The NV Dental Association Journal
Orr is a Professor Emeritus at The UNLV SDM, and an Adjunct Professor at UNLV and Touro University SOM. He was selected the AAOMS National Outstanding Undergraduate OMS Educator 2011-2012. He has taught religious courses for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for decades. Orr is a member of Sports Medicine groups for UNLV Athletics, the AAA Pacific Coast League Las Vegas Aviators, the PRCA National Finals Rodeo, and the NBA Summer League. He is Medical Advisor for the LV Area National Ski Patrol and is OMS Chief at UMC Level I Trauma Center.
