This session will start by presenting the results of Dentists of Tomorrow 2022, an analysis based on the 2022 ADEA U.S. Dental School Senior Student Survey. When feasible, the 2022 class’s answers were compared with their 2017 counterparts and analyzed through a demographic generational perspective. Following this presentation, members from around the country will provide their perspectives about their experiences with Gen Z predoctoral dental students and the impact of these students’ attitudes and expectations on their dental school experiences.

Explain the main trends in graduating predoctoral dental students’ experience before, during and after dental school.
Identify Gen Z graduating students’ specific attitudes and inclinations.
Discuss the impact of Gen Z predoctoral students on the experience during dental school.
